Simple sympathy

I had no mojo yesterday but still needed to make these cards. I, Tracey, vow to make a set of sympathy cards at my next crop so I always have some on hand.

I think the Core'dinations paper makes them pretty! The butterfly is from the Roy G. Biv stack and the blue is from the Vintage Collection. The butterfly is embossed with the Polka Dots folder. I distressed everything with DH's sand paper then cleaned them off with a Dust Buddy.

I am entering these cards at Getting Cricky with K Andrew. One of her challenges this week is called, "All a flutter."

Classroom valentines designed by my kids

My daughter loves her Paisley cartridge and knew exactly what she wanted to give to her friends this Valentines Day.

My son opted for this one eyeball look. The puppy is from the Sweethearts cartridge.

My son wanted "cool" cards for the boys in his class. The skull is from the Life is a Beach cartridge.

Whew! They are done. Next year, I'm buying the cards...

Pink, Brown and Green colour challenge

This card is for a challenge at More than Favors You could create any project but you must use green, pink and brown. They are offering the new Disney Classics cartridge as a prize!

I am also entering this card at My Pink Stamper for her birthday challenge.

For this card I used one of the cute frogs from Paisley. I actually put together my Cuttlebug for the first time and ran the frog through using the Polka Dots folder. The pink paper was put through using the Happy Birthday folder (borrowed from a friend). Her heart is stickled in pink and her eyeballs are coated with Glossy Accents. The ribbon is from the Dollar Store and the sentiment is computer generated.

First Challenge Attempt

One of the reasons I started this blog was to play along with all the wonderful online challenges. This is my first attempt. It is based on this SOUS sketch. www.stuckonusketches.blogspot.com

Another feature of the challenge is to use four different printed papers that you wouldn't ordinarily use. I decided to do a layout of my daughter and to use printed papers chosen by her. These are almost all open stock paper from Michaels that she wanted me to buy for my scrapbooking.

The flower and sunglasses are cut from the Paisley cartridge. The gems, pearls and lace are all from the dollar store.

I think this layout captures my daughters "fancy" side!
