Day Seven of Christmas Projects - Season's Greetings

Doesn't it look like the pepper mill is waving? There are so many Christmas puns you can put on a card! So quick, easy and funny.

Pink Stamper and Gypsy challenge

The Pink Stamper has a challenge this week to make something cute and there is a Gypsy challenge this week to make something layered. I hope this card will fit the bill for both!




I welded this coffee pot with my Gypsy to turn it into a shape card. ( I know, I'm addicted to shape cards.) The stamps I bought without a package from a yard sale but they are all super cute "coffee and tea" sentiments.

Another new challenge site - Sketches in Thyme

I found yet another challenge site yesterday and LOVED the sketch. They can be found here.The sketch is beautiful.

Here is my version. I turned the sketch sideways.

I am also entering this layout for Canadian Nickel Scrapn's summer vacation challenge. The prize for this challenge is the Summer Vacation Seasonal cartridge!!!!



The pictures I have for this layout are from a camping trip last summer. I tried to add all of my children's favorite things including the roasted marshmallows, the Jiffy Pop (Can you tell that's what that is?) and of course the friendly squirrel.

Most cuts are from Create a Critter. The font is from Life is a Beach. The marshmallow stick is from Gypsy Wanderings and the "Jiffy Pop" is a pan and a pie welded together from From my Kitchen.

Everything is inked in brown. This was a lot of inking for me!

Such a fun camping trip and such a fun layout!

The Pink Stamper Challenge

I tried this weekend to find the new Cricut cartridge Create a Critter in local stores but I didn't have any luck. Maybe I can win it with the Pink Stamper's Black, Pink and Green Challenge. You can find more info about the challenge here.

This is the card I made for a friend's birthday. To make this card, I used From My Kitchen to cut the glass but I trimmed off the straw and olive. I cut one layer in pink vellum to try and make the glass look like it was a pale pink. I also stickled the shiny spot for fun. The sentiment is printed from the computer and the pink frame is cut from Accent Essentials.

Valentine's Day Cooking

Our family has a tradition of making heart-shaped pizzas to celebrate Valentine's Day. I had so much fun making this layout using From My Kitchen and Sweethearts cartridges. From My Kitchen has so many cute kitchen images. The paper is from the DCWV Be Mine paper stack (50% off after Valentine's Day, found by Charlotte).

Olympic Torch Relay

I wanted to post this layout today because the 2010 Olympics open in a few hours. My children and I went on a super cold morning to watch the olympic torch pass through our town. As we stood there, trying to keep warm, we were all amazed with the spirit of the torch relay. I am so glad we ventured out to see this. I am so thankful, I could share this moment with my kids!





For this layout, I used my Cricut to cut out the die cuts. The inukshuk is cut from the George cartridge and I trimmed the shapes to look more like the actual logo. The word Vancouver is cut from the Don Juan cartridge with the real dial size on. (I am convinced the Don Juan is the actual font used by the 2010 olympics.) I used the From My Kitchen cartridge for the very first time to cut out the word degrees.
