Happy New Year's Eve!

It seems like I was just writing last year's post five minutes ago! This year has been filled with scrapbooking opportunities and moments! Our son graduated high school, our family travelled to the Toronto area and we got to witness the beautiful Niagara Falls. I have not scrapbooked any of the above yet but I did crop with wonderful ladies at least once a month in 2018. I also hosted a great group of ladies from Close to My Heart in my home for a Cricut Explore beginner class. As for card-making classes, I taught one for adults and one for kids.

My only resolution from a year ago was to relax and have fun scrapbooking. I definitely accomplished that this year. I also tried to think like Becky Higgins and have my end goal in mind while capturing our family memories. I bought spine labels for the albums that didn't already have them so I, or anyone else, could tell at a glance what was in them. I also made my albums yearly rather than September through to August. I dreaded this task for months before I sat down and did it in an afternoon.

Santa brought me a new album for 2019 and I can't wait to fill it and share it with all of you!

Thank you so much! Wishing you all a wonderful and scrappy 2019!!

Day Twelve of Christmas Projects - tea towels

My project for today would be a great hostess gift or could go well with any kitchen/food themed present. The tea towels are called flour sack towels. I bought a pack of 5 for $7 at Walmart Canada. The saying is from the new Cricut cartridge called Holly Jolly Christmas. I cut it out in HTV and ironed it on using my iron.

Now I need some more HTV because this was a ten minute project and I love the result!

Thanks so much for stopping in this Christmas season! I enjoy making Christmas cards so much and sharing my projects!

Happy Holidays!

Day Eleven of Christmas Projects - Tags

There is no need to purchase holiday tags. Just choose a few of your favourite Cricut cuts and turn them into tags. So quick and easy!

These are all Cricut images included in my Access Subscription.

Now I need to start wrapping gifts!

Day Ten of Christmas Projects - Merry Crustmas shadowbox card

I have wanted to create a shadow box card like this since the summer. I still need to work on my design in Design Space though so I can share it. I love a card like this with dimension.

Puns are also my thing as well...

Day Nine of Christmas Projects - Zamboni slider card

This is my first slider card ever. It was super easy to make but one difficult step here in Canada was to find two pennies. We no longer make or use the penny as currency. (We round up or down.) I ended up having to use nickels. Therefore, this card has a value of ten cents and it is a bit on the heavy side. I won't be able to mail this one without extra charges.

To create the zamboni's track, I sliced, using my Cricut Explore, a skinny rectangle across the card front. My card front is glued to the base with the two nickels in between. I adhered the zamboni to the two nickels on the inside of the card front using pop dots. Santa can now drive the zamboni across the ice surface. I found the zamboni cut online but needed to edit it a bit. Santa is from the Jolly Holidays Cricut cartridge.

Day Eight of Christmas Projects - Shaker card

Any ideas where I purchased my shaker shape?

It’s actually the packaging from my Cricut Explore Bluetooth adapter. Hee hee. I gu-estimated the dimensions and made it into a window for my winter snow scene. It had a bit of an edge on it so I glued it really well and it seems to be holding just great. Now I wish a had more packages!

Tomorrow's project is my very first slider card. See you then!

Day Seven of Christmas Projects - Season's Greetings

Doesn't it look like the pepper mill is waving? There are so many Christmas puns you can put on a card! So quick, easy and funny.

Day Six of Christmas Projects - Polar bear Z fold card

I love making z fold cards. It's funny how one little extra fold can add so much dimension! Yet, they are also flat to mail out and use no more paper than a typical card.

This super cute polar bear cut is from the Cricut cartridge called Warm Wishes and Marshmallow Kisses. The stamped sentiment is from Scrappy Moms Stamps but I don't think this company is making stamps anymore.
