Pup-kin Spice

It's a good thing Chloe likes wearing costumes, well doesn't mind wearing costumes. This layout is pretty simple, all I did was leave out the letter M from a Cricut cut for the title.

Day Six of Christmas Projects - Wise Men Card

Welcome! For today's card, I used my shadowbox card file from the birdie card and added the wise men seeking Baby Jesus. The wise men cut is a free file I found online that I trimmed a bit. The Nativity paper in the background is from an "ancient" pack of DCWV. I think it's perfect for this card.

Thanks for stopping by!

Halloween 2014

I am one of those Moms who loves to make Halloween crafts, costumes, carve pumpkins and make scary meals. My kids never know what to expect in October...

Here is a simple layout of some of the spooky food we ate last October.

Our bookworm layout

Hello! Thanks for popping by! This is a layout of my daughter. I took a picture of her reading and wanted to scrap it. I also wanted to journal some of her current favourite books.

I started out my trying to find a book pocket on my Cricut cartridges. I didn't have one, so I created one in the Craft Room. Easy Peasy!

Next, I found a library card printable.

Here is the link.

So This is Julie

The books are just various little rectangles cut out from the George Cricut Cartridge.

Google layout

Hello! I have been trying to scrapbook more layouts this year. Here is one I just finished.

I love scrapbooking birthdays, vacations and holidays but I also like to remember the funny moments. For instance, the day the Google camera car drove past us. My husband found the picture online and took a screenshot. The faces are blurred for everyone caught on Google Maps Streetview.

The Google logo and "search" button were very easy to create with Cricut Craft Room. The computer home page paper is by DCWV, The Generation Tech stack.

Gypsy linking to Cricut Craft Room

I did it! I linked my Gypsy to the Cricut Craft Room. I did this mainly for two reasons.

Reason number 1 - though I LOVE my Gypsy, it doesn't always update well. I have had issues such as a "security breach", the "blue screen of death", a cartridge that refuses to link and the occasional scrambling of a welded item. I figured it would be best to link all of my cartridges to the Craft Room just in case my Gypsy no longer works. I admit that I haven't really been purchasing new cartridges for the fear that they will be lost.

Reason number 2 - free cut files and free cartridges offered weekly in the Cricut Craft Room. I just couldn't resist the Halloween cuts!

This week the free cartridges are Teresa Collins Chic and Scary and A Frightful Affair. All of the cuts on this layout are from Teresa Collins Chic and Scary other than the "2012" which is from Blackletter.

I will talk a bit more about my linking experience in a post tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping by!

Halloween 2012

Yay! The Halloween season is here! It's my favorite holiday. Here is a layout of my kids and their Halloween shirts from last year.

I love this white, orange and black twine I bought at my LSS. I will have to use it on some Halloween cards.

Road Trip layout

Hello All! I am working on catching up with my scrapbooking. We have many summer memories that I want to capture. Hopefully, before the "christmas-card-making season"

This paper is by DCWV, it's from the Vacation Stack - perfect for summer travel photos.

Thanks for stopping in!

Monster hoodie layout

Hello All!
It's been busy around my house this February with hockey, my birthday and the flu :(. Thankfully, we are all well at the moment and I was able to scrap a bit!

Does it seem silly to scrap clothing? My daughter and her friends all love these hoodies (bunny hugs if you are from Saskatchewan). They are all animals, creatures or dinosaurs.

I used all papers from the DCWV Great Vacation Stack. My creature is from the Mini Monsters Cricut cartridge.

Have a wonderful day!

Back to School layout

It may seem like I am super organized for back to school next week but if you look carefully at the layout it's from 2011. I needed to get this done before the 2012 pictures were taken!

These papers are all by DCWV and all of the school stickers are from Reminisce.

The countdown is on, 9 more days until they go back. We are quickly trying to squeeze out every bit of summer vacation we can!

Nature Playground Mini-Album

Mini-albums are so quick to make when you use coordinating paper. This paper is a stack by DCWV called The Green Stack.
This is my first album using an AccuCut machine. It was so easy to cut out the chipboard covers this way. The frame was cut using Spellbinders.

Last summer, our city opened a new natural playground in a civic park. It is a beautiful area filled with thousands of bedding plants and really neat structures for the children to play on. We spent a day there playing and having a picnic. The photos from this summer day will go in this album. This stack is perfect for them. Thanks for looking! Have a great day!

Valentine's Day Cooking

Our family has a tradition of making heart-shaped pizzas to celebrate Valentine's Day. I had so much fun making this layout using From My Kitchen and Sweethearts cartridges. From My Kitchen has so many cute kitchen images. The paper is from the DCWV Be Mine paper stack (50% off after Valentine's Day, found by Charlotte).

One sheet of paper - two quick cards

I promised myself that if I cut up my new DCWV stack I wouldn't cover it up too much on cards. The paper is just so pretty. Here are two cards I made with the All Dressed Up stack and the Sweethearts cartridge. The words With Sympathy are printed on the computer. I love the cartouche shape from the Sweethearts cartridge!
