Day six of Christmas Projects - Poinsettia card

For this card, I used a felt poinsettia from a gift tag clip. I just think it looks beautiful on a card.

Day Five of Christmas Projects - Canada Card

A friend spotted an advertisemnt for fabric in a local store that was similar to this card. It was Christmas and Canada themed. (Not very common up here.) I loved the fabric design so I thought why not make it in paper?

Day Four of Christmas Projects - Snoopy card

I think Snoopy is the perfect Christmas character and I have a friend who is a big fan of Peanuts. To create this card, I used a colouring image. I then offset the Snoopy to make a side-edge square card. He is licensed, therefore I do not have a file to share.

Day Three 0f Christmas Projects - Camper van card

When your friend has a new camping van, you make her card like this! To make this card, I used a colouring image and created a SVG. Therefore, I don't have a file to share. I, then, mixed in some Cricut cuts from Design Space to make it a Christmas-y van.

Day Two of Christmas Projects - Removable ornament

It seems like the cards I made this year are even more personalized than past years, if that was even possible. I had the idea to make a card where the recipient could keep an ornament on their tree, if they wanted. I used the family's name and I layered the ornament with cardstock to give it some stability. I wanted to make it obvious that the ornament was removable, hence the scotch tape inside.

Day One of Christmas Projects - String of lights

This is my favourite Christmas card of the year! It's for a friend who loves rainbows so I know that she and her family will like it. It's also special to me because my daughter did the stitching on it. She is a wonderful hand-stitcher! I'm hoping I can get her to do more on cards in the future.

Mad Scientist layout

Our Halloween Zumba class was a blast last year! It's my favourite class of the year because the ladies dress up in fabulous costumes. We didn't take any group photos in 2020 because we were physically distancing though. I did take a selfie of my own costume. I printed off my mad scientist name tag and then laminated it so it looked more official. (Love my laminator)

I designed this file on Design Space. Help yourself!

I think is the first time I have used googly eyes on a layout!

Pandemic Pumpkin

I love this jack-o-lantern our daughter carved last year! She used clementines for the family and I cut up a disposable mask for their face-coverings.

I created this cut file in Design space including the title.

Here is the file.

A very Canadian layout

I'm really not sure what Canada Day will look like this year. Today, I'm sharing my layout from 2020. Our family stayed home but we did all wear red and white and, of course, we took a picture. I'm hoping you can tell this is a replication of a Hudson Bay blanket made with strips of paper. Easy peasy and I love the result!

Graduation 2021 - side edge card with Design Space file

I just love using the new offset feature to create this style of card called a side-edge card. In fact, I am a big fan of all the new updates to Cricut Design Space that have come out in the past few weeks. I have just over a thousand Design Space files saved in all my years of using an Explore. (EEK! I know, so many.) Therefore, being able to group my files in themes or purpose has been fabulous! Everytime I sit down at my desktop I do a bit of grouping of my many files. For example, this card will be added to my collection of graduation cards. Grouping them this way makes it so much easier to find what I am looking for even if it's years later. I will often replicate a design and therefore it's nice not having to hunt and scroll.
Cricut Access Premium

If you would like to make one of these cards, please help yourself to my file. The file uses cuts from my Access Subscription. I do recommend having a Cricut subscription as it gives you endless options that are always being updated and added to. I also appreciate the timely cuts that are added like the COVID-19 designs.

Herd, you’re moving card

My new favorite style of card are side-edge cards using the offset function in Design Space. I love offset and have shadowed prety much everything since they added this feature.
Here is my Design Space file if you would like to cut your own. All of the cuts are from my Access Subscription.

Valentines Day Layout

I had fun playing with paper to create this layout. I love the look of the layers in the diecut heart.

It seems strange to think of this date night a year ago, knowing now that this was our last hockey game before the covid-19 pandemic.

Bernie Sander’s Mittens

The hubs and I have been laughing all week at the many Bernie Sanders memes. Therefore, I knew I needed to make him a "Bernie-type" of Valentine this year!

This free mitten SVG is actually an earring design posted by Amy Romeu. I cut her fabulous design in cardstock rather than leather and added my own sentiment.
