Red, white and blue

I am loving all of the Fourth of July projects people are posting this week! This is my take on red, white and blue.

Do you remember these Rocket Popsicles? They were my favourite from the Dickie Dee ice cream cart.

To make my popsicle, I used the popsicle cut from Just Because cards and welded a rounded rectangle on the top. I cut this three times to make the three colours. Once I glued them together, I embossed the grooves. I then smothered it with Glossy Accents. The stick is a real popsicle stick, I had to pop dot it so it would be flat on top of the stick.

Thanks a latte - No Cricut

My son's teacher enjoys Starbucks coffee so he wanted to purchase a gift card for her end of the year gift. I wanted to make a "Starbucks" card...

I used my paper trimmer to guess out a cup shape. I originally wanted the cup to look rounded on the paper with double pop dots but that didn't seem to work. The stamp is actually two different stamps that I put together (I wish now that I left out the exclamation mark). The background paper is from my scraps and the coffee stir stick is from Starbucks.

Fantabulous Cricut challenge #64 - Wedding Wishes

The challenge at Fantabulous Cricut this week is to make something wedding that incorporates the colour white and a bell. I got married in 1999 so when someone says "wedding bell" I think of those tissue paper- honeycomb bells. That's what I tried to make for this card.

This shape card is made with my Gypsy and the Sweethearts Cricut cartridge. The bells are actually cut from the Jolly Holidays cartridge but I needed to trim the ribbon and bottom a bit. I cut each bell five times, folded them in half and glued them together. Once the glue was dry, I glued the bells to the car. I used some thin ribbon (on sale at Michaels this week) to "tie" up the bells.

Thanks for looking!

If you would like to submit an entry go visit Fantabulous Cricut. I am also entering this card atDie Cuttin' Divas. Their challenge this week is Wedded Bliss. They ask not to include hearts in your project. I love that challenge idea!

Grad card 2011

This card is made with only one cartridge - Birthday Bash. All I added was a bit of floss and some pop dots. You could make this type of banner card in any school colour combinations. Quick and easy!

Father's day card

June is a busy card month for me with birthdays, graduations, Father's Day and end of the school year. I'm glad I have started the process with this card.

My new favourite cartridge of the day is Block Party! The "Dad" and barbecue (grill in the US) are cut with it. The font is Old West. The picnic paper is by Momenta but I am assuming it is super old as I bought it at a yard sale. The embossed wood paper is to represent my deck. I used Glossy Accents on the barbecue and the letters to bling it up.

Challenges I am entering this card into :

!. More Than Favors - Manly challenge

2. Fantabulous Cricut - #1 Dad challenge

3. My Creative Time - Throwback Thursday challenge - Lite cart with bling

4. Creative Cutter Room - Father's Day

5. Crazy about Cricut - Man/boy theme

Have a great day!
