Northern Lights Christmas Card
I absolutely love how this card turned out. The northern lights have been so beautiful this year! The black outline is a Cricut cut from Design Space. I sized it for a slimline card and added cardstock and glitter cardstock in all the negative spaces. The Santa in the sky is the only christmas-y element.

Camper Christmas Card
Friends of ours have recently renovated an older camping trailer. It looks fabulous and hope they will love it on a card!
Santa Mug Card
Is thete anything more Christmas iconic than a Santa mug? I love them and they are quite popular right now. i found this cut file on Design Space and there are many options including snowmen, gingerbreadmen and elf cups.
I found this retro looking sentiment also on Dedign Space and thought it matched the kitschy mug.

Personalized lantern cards
I really enjoy making Christmas cards that are more personal than ones you buy in a store. I love that with my Cricut and a printer I can easily do that. Last year, I made paper ornaments. This year, family names on a lantern.
I also LOVE seeing my paper ornaments on my friends and family's Christmas trees! It warms my crafty heart.

Elk Christmas Card
I wanted to create some nature-type Christmas cards this year. I was trying to use Banff National Park as my inspiration. One animal commonly found animal in Banff is elk. I just love this circle image and think it would make a beautiful floating ornament. I was so impressed with how my Cricut Maker cut this intricate cut!
I cut out a circle in my base card just to add a bit of pop and heat embossed my sentiment for some shine.

Humbug - a Winnipeg Christmas Card
This is very much a card for those who live in Winnipeg, Manitoba. One Christmas symbol that is iconic in our city is an apartment balcony with the word HUMBUG in red Christmas lights. I remember this from 40ish years ago and the tradition is still going strong with the new apartment dwellers in the building. (Was it written in the rental agreement??) For this card, I recreated the balcony by making a bridge style card. I found a lights-type of font online and cut the bottom layer in red glitter paper. I used acetate to secure the balcony railing to the side folds.
Now... here's hoping people understand my card.

Day six of Christmas Projects - Poinsettia card
For this card, I used a felt poinsettia from a gift tag clip. I just think it looks beautiful on a card.

Day Five of Christmas Projects - Canada Card
A friend spotted an advertisemnt for fabric in a local store that was similar to this card. It was Christmas and Canada themed. (Not very common up here.) I loved the fabric design so I thought why not make it in paper?

Day Four of Christmas Projects - Snoopy card
I think Snoopy is the perfect Christmas character and I have a friend who is a big fan of Peanuts. To create this card, I used a colouring image. I then offset the Snoopy to make a side-edge square card. He is licensed, therefore I do not have a file to share.

Day Three 0f Christmas Projects - Camper van card
When your friend has a new camping van, you make her card like this! To make this card, I used a colouring image and created a SVG. Therefore, I don't have a file to share. I, then, mixed in some Cricut cuts from Design Space to make it a Christmas-y van.

Day Two of Christmas Projects - Removable ornament
It seems like the cards I made this year are even more personalized than past years, if that was even possible. I had the idea to make a card where the recipient could keep an ornament on their tree, if they wanted. I used the family's name and I layered the ornament with cardstock to give it some stability. I wanted to make it obvious that the ornament was removable, hence the scotch tape inside.

Day Five of Christmas Projects - Holly Jolly
I love the clean lines of this style of a card. A local scrapbooking store posted a card sketch this fall for a challenge and I designed similar shapes on Design Space.

Day Three of Christmas Projects - Tea Towels
I love using heat transfer vinyl on flour sack tea towels. I think it's a great little gift. My sister-in-law is a talented baker who loves to bake and decorate Christmas cookies every year so these are for her.
Both designs are available in Design Space.

Christmas Projects from 2019
Our province is in lockdown right now so I really have no excuse to get my Christmas cards done. I'm currently procrastinating by rounding up last year's projects.

City skyline cards
I love this cut file because it shows all the details of the Winnipeg skyline but that's what makes it difficult to cut. The skyline is actually cut out of vinyl which is much less likely to tear. The hubs wanted this winter design for his school staff.
I hope they like it!

Day Ten of Christmas Projects - A Winnipeg Card
I love making exactly the type of card I want by using the Design Space app to design my cuts.
If you are not from Winnipeg, this is the Golden Boy who stands at the top of our Manitoba Legislature. He turned 100 last week! I figure our city often looks like a snow globe so this is fitting! I used my laminator again to make the shaker card window with some snowflake confetti.
