Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #28 - Harvest Time
I have wanted to make a "You're Rad" card from the moment I opened up this paper pack from DCWV. It's the Farmer's Market stack with perfect harvest papers.
All the cuts on this card are from the Just Because Cards cartridge but none are from the radish card button other than the radish and sentiment. I used my Gypsy to weld the radish onto the card so the card would open from the right and then the left. Is this a called a gate card?
Everything is inked and I used jute as a ribbon and pop dotted the words.

Labour Day challenge
Well, I wasn't intending on participating this week at Fantabulous Cricut but that changed when my neighbor went into labour yesterday. I played around to make the new baby a potential card. Soo... it's a labour day right?
These adorable diaper shirts are actually from the Wall Decor cartridge. I welded together two to make shape cards.
I just got word that she had a boy.

Quote challenge
This layout is based on quote by my son when he was a toddler. He described his relationship with a close family friend's child as, "We are family because we love each other." Need I say more? I had to scrap this somehow.
The challenge this week at Frosted Designs was to use a quote in your project.
For this layout, I opened my recently won package of Cutter Bee Bugs. (Thank you Becky!) I used these to simulate sewing stitches. I love the effect this gave. I ran the bugs over the paper and just free hand traced a line from hole to hole. I might try with a ruler next time...

Think Pink Friday challenge
Abbie at Cricut Me That issued a challenge to create a card with a breast cancer message of encouragement. Well, this is very close to home for me. My grandmother has just completed her radiation treatments and is recovering at home, in fact these cards were given to some wonderful ladies who helped my grandmother. My grandmother loved the cow-shaped cards so I knew I had to make her a shape card also with a pun of some sort.
So sweet!
Thank you so much to Audrey at Cute and Some! She has some wonderful projects posted and always writes the kindest comments to me.

Cuttlebug challenge # 99
Here is my entry for the Cuttlebug Challenge blog Their challenge this week is to use the color pink and have a stamped sentiment. Both aspects are in honor of The Pink Stamper.
The lovely shoe paper is from the All About Girls stack by DCWV, the metallic paper is also by DCWV and the high heel is from Gypsy Wanderings. The stamp I bought at a scrapbooking yard sale on Friday night. On Friday, I went to an awesome yard sale of all crafty and paper items!

Road trip challenge
During summer holidays, in our city there is a place where children can drive battery operated cars through a pretend village with drive thrus, a drive-in movie theatre, stoplights, rail way crossings and a car wash.
This layout is for the Fantabulous Cricut challenge this week.
I added a souvenir pocket my daughter's "driver's license".
All cuts are from Going Places. I had so much fun with this layout!
