Valentine's Day Cooking
Our family has a tradition of making heart-shaped pizzas to celebrate Valentine's Day. I had so much fun making this layout using From My Kitchen and Sweethearts cartridges. From My Kitchen has so many cute kitchen images. The paper is from the DCWV Be Mine paper stack (50% off after Valentine's Day, found by Charlotte).

One sheet of paper - two quick cards
I promised myself that if I cut up my new DCWV stack I wouldn't cover it up too much on cards. The paper is just so pretty. Here are two cards I made with the All Dressed Up stack and the Sweethearts cartridge. The words With Sympathy are printed on the computer. I love the cartouche shape from the Sweethearts cartridge!

Die cuts galore
I'm all finished cutting out die cuts for my daughter's grade two class. Tomorrow I will help the students make an assortment of hand painted cards. The cards will then be sold to raise money for Haiti relief. These are most of the cut outs. I can't wait to see the finished product and make my donation of course.

Sporty layouts
I have kids in sports and after a few years in hockey or soccer or any other sport you start to run out of ideas to scrap the pictures. In the case of hockey, you can run out of different papers as well. The Sports Mania cartridge has a background page as one of it's creative features. Here are my new background pages to scrap both kids' soccer and my son's hockey.

To ATG, or to not ATG?
That is my question these days. I bought a used Glue Glider Pro tape runner last week. I love it! It's so easy to use. Without a trigger, I just zip it down the paper. The downside is that it is only 40 feet long and the refill tape is about $12. I want to see how long it lasts before I make the $45 upgrade to the ATG. The ATG is much more expensive upfront but the refill tape is much cheaper. Any thoughts?

Olympic Torch Relay
I wanted to post this layout today because the 2010 Olympics open in a few hours. My children and I went on a super cold morning to watch the olympic torch pass through our town. As we stood there, trying to keep warm, we were all amazed with the spirit of the torch relay. I am so glad we ventured out to see this. I am so thankful, I could share this moment with my kids!
For this layout, I used my Cricut to cut out the die cuts. The inukshuk is cut from the George cartridge and I trimmed the shapes to look more like the actual logo. The word Vancouver is cut from the Don Juan cartridge with the real dial size on. (I am convinced the Don Juan is the actual font used by the 2010 olympics.) I used the From My Kitchen cartridge for the very first time to cut out the word degrees.
Sorry for blurred faces.
