A Crop at my House?

Or has it finally come to needing three Cricuts running all the time?

I am cutting out sentiments for cards for my daughter's school. They will be painting cards to raise money for World Vision. I figured it might be easier with more than one machine running at once... Maybe I should try this more often, I like how quick everything gets cut out...

Happy Valentines Day!

My children were very predictable for their valentines this year. My daughter is still into penguins, therefore we designed this little guy together.

My son is still a huge hockey nut and our entire city is still quite enamoured with having an NHL team. His valentines are a little more masculine but fun.

These were great to make with my kids although I wish I had started sooner than yesterday afternoon...

Have a wonderful day!

Beach layout

The picture in this layout is of my daughter and her cousin hamming up on the beach at the cottage. They are wearing their Moms' matching sun hats to make us laugh.

This paper is by We R Memory Keepers. It is called the White Out Collection and I bought when it was on clearance a long time ago.I feel "summery" just looking at this paper.
Thanks for looking. Have a great day!

Love Banner

Here is the banner I have been working on for our fireplace. I love how it turned out!

I used all old paper that I had on hand and used a few different Cricut cartridges. The font is Winter Woodland. Most things are cut from Sweethearts. The backgrounds are from Gypsy Wanderings. The stamps are by Martha Stewart.

The gems and fabric hearts, I bought at the Dollar store. This entire decor element came to a whopping total of $2.

I used a hot glue gun to add ribbon hangers to these heart ornaments. The twigs are spray painted red.
I am entering this banner at Fantabulous Cricut Their challenge this week is to "put a heart on it".
The next challenge site that I am entering at is More than Favors. Their challenge this week is "love is in the air.
I am also entering this at Frosted Designs. They would like you to use ribbon or twine this week. I loved poking through my ribbon stash for this project!
Paper Playtime is the next challenge I followed their challenge is hearts/love.
At Decorate to Celebrate they are challenging crafters to create something for a Valentine's party.

Thanks for looking! Have a "love"ly day!

Quick Graphic 45 LO and kids Valentines

This layout was so quick to make using Graphic 45 paper.

To create this page, all I did was hand cut around the elements of the paper I wanted to show. I then inked all my cut lines to cover the white core. I slipped my matted photo in my cuts, and cut a tag with my Cricut to match the title on the paper. I had to stickle Dorothy's shoes to make them look authentic and tada! (My daughter was such a cute Dorothy.)

I am playing with Valentines this week. I will be teaching a children's scrapbooking class and I am planning on creating some Valentine cards. These are my first 4 ideas.

I decided to cut up one sheet of 12X12 cardstock to make 8 - 3 inch Valentines. I guess I better get busy making the next 4.
Have a great day!

Sympathy cards

Santa brought me some distress inks for Christmas. I decided to play with them and make some cards at the same time. My goal was to create the effect of frost on a window using the inks. Yes, I should mention that it is freezing here in Winnipeg today and there is frost on many windows!

I am having fun playing and creating inside the warm house!
I am entering these cards for the challenge at Fantabulous Cricut. Their challenge this week is to create a project with a snowman or snowflake. Please click the link to play along.

Downhill skiing layout with Echo Park

My son was reluctant to try downhill skiing for the first time. These photos are from his first time skiing.

This layout uses all Winter Park paper by the Echo Park Paper Company. It was a quick one to put together with all the great little paper add-ons like the tickets and journaling spots (I covered the children's names). The title on this layout is cut from the new Go Canada Cricut cartridge, I figured that would be an appropriate font for a winter layout...

I am entering this layout at SOUS. I am a big fan of this challenge site and would like to participate a bit more this year. Secondly, I am submitting at Cooking with Cricut. Their challenge this week is to create a project based on an amazing winter photograph.
