Scrappy resolutions for 2018

Happy New Year!

Every January I like to publicly publish my scrapbooking/crafty intentions for the year ahead. I also reflect on the resolutions from the previous year. Did I keep my best intentions or did I fail miserably?

My 2017 Resolutions and Aspirations

#1 - Scrapbook the rest of 2016. I am up to the month of May.

#2 - Share more projects (layouts, cards and cutting files) on my blog and Facebook.

#3 - Play with pocket-style layouts a bit more. I have dabbled a bit in this type of scrapbooking but have found it difficult to fill all the pockets and remember to print the photos the correct way. Practice needed.

I think I did well this year. I did use pocket scrapbooking more and I found it makes for quick work once you get going.

I could still share more projects online though...

Well, here goes...

My 2018 Scrappy Resolutions

#1 - Relax, have fun and create

That's it.

Day Twelve of Christmas Projects - A pocket page puppy layout

Can you say that title 3 times fast?

We just loved having a dog last Christmas. I think this year, the kids are most excited about our gift to the dog!

Day Eleven of Christmas Projects - Christmas Vacation Card

Last year, I cut out this adorable station wagon tag. Doesn't it make you think of the movie Christmas Vacation with Chevy Chase? I labelled it to Clark from Ellen. It was still in with my scrap supplies so I covered the names and created a card. I had to add a movie quote as the sentiment, of course.

Yay for using up scrapbooking supplies!

Day Ten of Christmas Projects - HTV Pillow

Our family loves the movie Elf so I thought a pillow with a quote would be cute in our home.

Day Nine of Christmas Projects - An Ornament

We are very grateful this December as we have family coming in to stay for the holidays. I wanted to make them an ornament to remember Christmas 2017.

Now to wrap it up!

Day Eight of Christmas Projects - Shaker Tags

I felt I needed to create some shaker tags after all the shaker cards I made this year...

These were so quick to make!

Day Seven of Christmas Projects - Christmas Tree Delivery Card

This type of image is extremely popular this year in crafting projects as well as holiday decor. Therefore, I knew I wanted to use this image on a card. There are many free cut files available online and on Facebook.

I love, love how this simple card turned out and ended up making a dozen!

Day Six of Christmas Projects - Wise Men Card

Welcome! For today's card, I used my shadowbox card file from the birdie card and added the wise men seeking Baby Jesus. The wise men cut is a free file I found online that I trimmed a bit. The Nativity paper in the background is from an "ancient" pack of DCWV. I think it's perfect for this card.

Thanks for stopping by!

Day Five of Christmas Projects - Naughty/Nice card

Welcome to day five of holiday projects! This is an interactive card where you can move the dial. We will call it self-evaluation.
