Mother's Day Cards

Happy Mother's Day to all the Moms out there!

I think I have used every teeny, tiny scrap left of my crop and create kit.

Teacher Appreciation Week

It is staff appreciation week at my daughter's school. I love making these bulletin boards for the staff to show how much we appreciate their hard work!

I am entering this project at Cooking with Cricut. Their challenge this week is to make a teacher appreciation project with your Cricut.
I had trouble this year thinking of ideas but I did find this title and jungle idea online at Artsy Fartsy Mama.

Most of these wild animals are from The Create A Critter Cricut cartridge. The toucan is from Life is a Beach. The font is Birthday Bash. I picked up large google eyes and tried to make this board fun and bright. (This school is Kindergarten to Grade Four.) I braided jute as my "vines". The paw prints are from Mickey and Friends and they have the name of each school staff member. While I had a desk covered in this paper, I whipped up a matching card for the staff with scraps. Yay!

I hope they like it!

Kids Scrapbooking Project

This is what the children were creating this week.

This decor item was inspired by a customer of my LSS where I teach the children's scrapbooking classes.

Sympathy card

I have been busy prepping projects for my children's scrapbooking classes. (Soo much fun!) This card is made with the scraps from one of my classes.

It was very quick to make, as there is no Cricut involved. The butterflies, lace and the doily are from a dollar store but don't tell anybody.

Simple Stories - Aweso{ME}

I love the ease of putting together layouts with Simple Stories. Simple Stories has two new-ish lines that I am playing with. This layout is all done with Aweso{ME}. The girl version is called Fab{U}lous.

The good news is that this whole line coordinates together. Here is the link to their website if you would like to check them out.
As a scrapbooking mom of one girl and one boy, I think the lines are Awesomely Fabulous!

Have a great day!

Custom background pages

What a great idea from Archivers! You can bring in items to photocopy and design a background sheet for your layout.

...even french fries.

Crop and Create layout

This is the first info I had read about Crop and Create coming to my city.

I knew I wanted to attend as soon as I heard about the amazing scrapbooking ladies who were coming. I was fortunate to be able to work at this event at the marketplace but that didn't stop me from using the photobooth (so much fun!) and meeting some of the presenters.

I honestly got so much inspiration just being there. I loved talking to everyone and hearing what they were working on!

I had the idea to sell a kit for photos taken during the event. My boss chose this fab paper from Pebbles and chose all the embellies and I got to work designing the logo on my Gypsy.

Leica Forrest is absolutely beautiful (and talented). I'm happy that I have this photo of the two of us. The group shot was nipped from facebook.
