New baby shaker cards
I love making baby cards! I think because they are fun and sweet (as are newborns). The blue card is for my friend's new grandson. Yes, I am in that season of life where my friends' children are getting married and having children.
Do you remember when Costco used to sell huge paper pads? That is where the baby printed paper is from. I held onto these sheets *hoarded* for baby cards.
I created the design for the shaker by using the slice feature on my Design Space for the Cricut Explore.

Baby boy card
The hubs needed a new baby card this week. So I did a search on Pinterest to look for some inspiration. This is my Pinter-theft or maybe I should call it Pinter-lift?.
Since I was only going to have font on my card, I thought it would be easier to have my letters lined up if I used my Gypsy. That is one advantage to using the negative image of a word, no eyeballing for placing the letters. One disadvantage though is gluing the teeny, tiny center of the letter "e"s.

Penguins and a baby card
Halloo! We are back from a summer road trip. Our family drove out west. We visited cousins for a few days, went to Drumheller, Alberta to tour the dinosaur museum and then we went to Calgary to hang out with some penguins. Our trip was wonderful!
That is my DD standing next to Tut, a king penguin. They seemed to gravitate to her, maybe sensing her love for them? Maybe because she is wearing black and white?
He even tried to follow us out.
Lastly, here is a new baby card for my hubby's co-worker. There are many cards like this on Pinterest and I had just purchased some clothes line clips soo... I had to scraplift this idea. Yay! I haven't made a baby girl card in awhile.
Thanks for stopping by!

New baby card
Yay! We have a new little one on our street! Here is my card.
I feel like a cheated making this because the giraffe is from my die-cut stash. I think he originated from a cut swap from years ago.

Scraplifted baby card
A very similar card is on the cover of The Bug Magazine. I couldn't resist copying it.

I used a few different Cricut cartridges but now realize I could have done the entire card with Straight from the Nest. I did it the hard way with Plantin Schoolbook for the grass, Create a Critter for the trees, Wall Decor for the onesie, George for the heart and Straight from the Nest for the sentiment. I hand cut the laundry clips but even those are on Straight for the Nest...
I embossed the grass with the Tiny Branches Cuttlebug folder, the trees with Swiss Dots and the tree trunks with a wood grain folder (I'm not sure what it's called).
The clothesline is merely floss and everything is pop dotted for dimension.
Have a great day!

Labour Day challenge
Well, I wasn't intending on participating this week at Fantabulous Cricut but that changed when my neighbor went into labour yesterday. I played around to make the new baby a potential card. Soo... it's a labour day right?

These adorable diaper shirts are actually from the Wall Decor cartridge. I welded together two to make shape cards.
I just got word that she had a boy.
