Quick cards for the school lunch monitors

I was using cardstock provided by the school so I wanted to make simple cards that I could put together in bulk. Of course I had to add some of my own paper from the Grade School stack by DCWV. These are the first nine I completed.

I used my Gypsy to hide some cuts on the lunch box so I could put the sentiment on top of it.

If you are expecting a Mother's Day card from me don't read this post

This card is to enter at Fantabulous Cricut. Their challenge this week is to use at least three flowers on a project.

This card is not original for sure. I have seen a few variations of flowers in a vase this week. The watering can is from the Freshly Picked Cricut cartridge and the sentiment is from Holiday Cakes. The flowers are from Plantin Schoolbook but many, many cartridges have similar flowers you could use.. The flowers have been embossed with the Polka Dots folder and I used glue dots to adhere the buttons. The stems are rick rack ribbon.

I will warn you though that this type of card requires 3 times the postage because of the pop dots and buttons!

Odds and ends

My husband enjoys making wine and every year we go to a wine tasting party. I made these tags so that everyone will know our wine even when they pull it off their rack months from now. I invented a fictional winery name playing on our family name and neighbourhood just to be funny. The barrel is from the Old West cartridge and the font is from Blackletter.

This is a birthday card for an 11 year old snowboard enthusiast. This was my first cut with the Dude Cricut cartridge. I'm so glad I bought it for my son's cards and such.

On Friday, I got to host a ladies group at my house to teach a beginner card-making class. This is the sample card we made. I used Freshly Picked for the potted flowers and Holiday Cakes for the sentiment. I had fun and I hope they did too.

Easter cards

These Easter cards are for the bunny/chick challenge at Fantabulous Cricut this week.

The chocolate bunnies are from Gypsy Wanderings. The grass is cut from Plantin Schoolbook. The egg shapes are from Smiley Cards. I hid the other cuts with my Gypsy and welded two eggs together to make a shape card. The words are cut from the Holiday Cakes cartridge. I embossed the inner egg shape and glued on the ribbon with glue dots.

I liked these so much that I made two more!
